CUP SHOCKS & CUP NO SHOCKS - Week 7

Fa Cup this week and a few shocks involved. Arsenal anyone???? and bloody Everton. I needed Everton to win for my accumulator to come in. I was counting the money when Oldham got a corner....the betting slip hit the bin 5 seconds later. Thanks Matt Smith.

Only 15 winners across the leagues this week. Not a great week all round. 5 of you went for arsenal!! which on paper looked a cert...shame they play on grass. And they offered Wenger a contract extension today. Great timing!!

So this won't take too long....

Pele I won with Barnsley @1.88 (Joint 2nd best of week) and have a better chance of staying up now. Trevor Gibbons won again with Ipswich at home @1.38. he too has a chance of redemption. At the top Dan Cook won with Hull's good run @0.80 and closes the gap at the top.

James Delahunt went to France for Lorient @0.91. Ross Jones stays top.

In the Maradona there was only one winner., That honour goes to Sohail Virdi who picked Cardiff @0.50. the others all lost.

In Dalglish league. Dave Horseman also went for Barnsley (joint 2nd best pick)@1.88 and Didier Segovia who picked out Hull @0.80. The top two stay a way ahead but both lost out this week.

Shearer league had 3 winners out of 5 picks. The best was Ricky Jones at the top with joint 2nd best pick of the week ...yes you've guessed it Barnsley away @1.88 (popular that one) Tom Kerr won well with watford away @1.50 he moves up to third. Jonathan Dunk went for Hull @0.80.

Ricky extends his lead at the top and closes the gap between 2nd and top to under 2.00 in overall league.

Only two pickers in the Lineker league. One was a loser and one was the best pick of the week. Mono Guerillo was the lucky picker who knew Oldham would leave it late but grab a draw. He went for it at 4.40. well done. He jumped into 2nd and is only 60p behind the leader Pete Cornwell.

Was the top two in Gascoigne league who both won. David Rosser stayed top with Watford away @1.50. hot on his heels is Darryn Cook who went to Spain with Atletico Madrid who won away at 1.00.

The Pineapple Lee was a carbon copy of the Gazza league. The top winning. Martin Young stays top with his winning pick of Cardiff @0.50. Steve Tester stays 2nd. He went with Liverpool's demolition of Swansea @0.57. (good dress rehearsal for capital One Cup final!!!)

There you go. That's it only 9 different picks across the 15 winners. Not a classic week unless your name is Mono. Better luck next time.

Cheers Al
