HAVE YOU EVER CHEERED SO LOUD THAT A LITTLE BIT OF WEE COMES OUT??????JUST ME THEN.. - Week 7

George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Lee Trevino, Davis Love III, Barack Obama, Tom Cruise, Joan Rivers, Tom Watson, Clint Dempsey, Brad Freidel, Jay Leno, Steven Speilberg, Colonel Sanders, Ronald McDonald your Boys took one hell of a beating.........................Ryder Cup you gotta love it. Serves USA right for calling our beloved game ‘soccer’!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my word, what a great performance by the Ryder cup team, and my wife said I was wasting my weekend watching it.

Anyway to football. Highlights of the week. Chelsea sock it to Arsenal to stay remain unbeaten at the top of the Prem. Spurs win at old trafford for the first time in 23 years, Even with AVB as manager. Everton keep the pressure up on the top spot. Suarez scores a hatrick as Liverpool beat Norwich5-2. Arsenal Ladies retain the premier league title. (but still didn’t swap shirts at the end). John Terry gets fined lose change for his alleged racist comments and has a four game rest. Oh yeah and lets England get some pace into our back four!! Lastly Fergie moans that there wasn’t enough added time at Old Trafford. You just can’t please the man. If they are leading theres too much if they’re not its too little.!!

League by league. Pele

Full house of picks but only 4 winners. The best of which was Delahunt’s Chelsea win @net 2.5. I followed closely with the mighty Leeds win at Bristol City @ net 1.7. Lines & Paton were the other winners with 0.90 7 1.05 respectively. That leaves Matty Gibbons in the lead still with 2.51 but Delahunt & myself are closing in with 2.06 & 2.03. 3 weeks to go all to play for.

Maradona

9 pickers, just 2 winners. Andy Ewart also picked Leeds to capitalise on the league cup win midweek. Jimmy Smith was the other with the Man city win over Fulham @ nett 0.80. This means Ross Jones & Phil smith remain one and two. But Ewart moves into third with Jimmy Smith fourth.Closing up nicely.

Dalglish

Martyn Cornwell continues to march on. Another win with Atletico Madrid away win @net 1.10. He leads the league with 3.97. Al Smith stays 2nd. D Horseman moves into 3rd with his Swindon away win @ net 1.37.  Second place is really up for grabs here. Martyn is the only one with a positive figure and there is only 1.00 between four players for 2nd.

Shearer

Only 5 pickers here but 3 winners. The best of which Steph Cook picking the Leicester away win @ net 1.75 that moves her up oine place to 3rd. Nigel Howlett stays top with a Scottish win with Dunfermline @ net 0.83. He has 5.98 and looks well in control. Jon Dunk remains 2nd despite losing this week.the other winner was BillImrie with another Scottish winner at Queen of the  South. I think that breaks his duck.

Lineker.

Nothing to say here except. PICK GOD DAMN IT. JUST ONE POSITIVE 1P PICK WILL SEE A WINNER. WE DON’T WANT TO SORT IT OUT BY ALPHABETICAL ORDER.!!!! NO PICKERS THIS WEEK AT ALL. EVERYONE HAS MINUS 7.00.ITS A SHAME WHEN YOU SEE THE LEAGUES BELOW THIS AND HOW COMPETITIVE THEY ARE.

Gascoigne

Daniel Cook stays top with a positive pick of Sunderland @ net 1.05. David Rosser moves up to 2nd with 2nd best pick of the week the wonderful Watford win at Huddersfield @ net 2.75. Still all to play for but if Daniel keeps his head he should wrap it up.

Jason Lee

Bit like the Lineker league this one. A three man league.

But thank goodness for Owen Williams just a guess he is a spurs fan as he was the only one to plump for spurs to undo their old trafford woodoo. He netted a colossal 5.00. that takes him to 6.72 and top of the overall league as well. WART & Mike are the other pickers in this league but they weren’t successful.

Holdsworth

In this holding league a couple of winners Kian Low went with Liverpool @ net 0.72 & Tony Griffiths stuck with Wolves for a net 0.83. Ian Menzies stays top, there is an Ian Menzies at the bottom of the Gazza league having made no picks. If they are one and the same his score could have him 2nd in that league.

Three weeks to go in this mini season guys. Those at the top stay cool and keep your heads remember the tortoise and the hare. Those chasing the leaders, pick wisely try and make 2.00 and look for value. Those at the bottom sod it. You may as well go for the outsider it sometimes comes off.

As a rather rotund ex spurs striker said ‘ITS A FUNNY OLD GAME’.
